Coral reefs are our most diverse marine ecosystem and can be compared to the rainforest with respect to diversity. Unfortunately the climate changes hit hard on the tropical reefs - we are in fact loosing them due to bleaching. See images from tropical reefs here...

  • At least 21 different species of corals (soft and hard) occupy this boulder at 15 meters depth at Agincourt Reef ("St. Crispins"), the Great Barrier Reef, Australia. The boulder is about 2x3 meters in size.
